How the 'convergence' was manufactured (von Däniken / New Age / colonial)
In plain terms: the reason twelve far-apart cultures *seem* to agree is largely a handful of modern authors reading one template into all of them — von Däniken (vimanas, the Maya 'astronaut', Wandjina 'helmets', Nazca), post-1960s New Age writers (the Hopi 'Blue Star', the Lakota 'Pleiadian' tie), and post-Conquest colonial invention (the 'returning white god' of Quetzalcoatl and Viracocha). So the 'twelve independent witnesses' aren't independent — it's the sci-fi feedback loop operating on the *interpreter*, not just on the witness. Descriptive finding; held, not a verdict.
