DARPA Subterranean Challenge (SubT): open-call competition through 2021 advancing autonomous mapping + navigation in tunnels, urban underground, and cave environments. Final event Sept 2021 in Louisville Mega Cavern; awarded $2 million to Team CERBERUS.

DARPA Underminer: separate program developing rapid tactical tunnel networks for secure military logistics and troop resupply in contested environments. Formally completed 2022 per DARPA news.

Report #85 finding: TBC is NOT listed as a prime contractor for either program per primary-source DARPA documentation. However, the operational requirements DARPA specified (autonomous TBMs, rapid expeditionary deployment, continuous mining without launch shafts) align closely with TBC's Prufrock architecture. Architectural alignment without confirmed contract participation.
