Jack Parsons

Co-founder of the Jet Propulsion Lab — also practiced occult ritual in 1946 with L. Ron Hubbard (later of Scientology)

Co-founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Caltech, 1936). Devoted Thelemite and disciple of Aleister Crowley; ran the OTO Agape Lodge (Pasadena).
Conducted the Babalon Working (1946) alongside L. Ron Hubbard (future Scientology founder). Explicit ritual attempt to incarnate an archontic entity. Same year as UN founding, Operation Paperclip peak, Nuremberg. The temporal alignment is load-bearing: the post-war architecture and the occult-to-aerospace bridge were consolidated in the same window.
Structural function: Parsons is the documented bridge between American aerospace physics and operational occult ritual. JPL's legacy compute-and-propulsion architecture descends from a founder whose ritual practice explicitly attempted entity-incarnation. Whether the entity-host hypothesis is metaphysically true or not, the lineage is forensic — and it propagates forward through Hubbard (Scientology) and cross-links into the MKUltra/CIA occult interest of the 1950s-70s.
