French metaphysician, converted to Islam, moved to Cairo. Founded the Perennialist/Traditionalist School — all authentic religions share a single transcendent origin; modernity = terminal decline from primordial truth. Primarily passive metaphysician who never operationalized his ideas politically.

Guenon (metaphysical withdrawal), Evola (fascist operationalization), Dugin (Russian imperial weaponization).
